Zij brengt een ode aan de luchtvaartpioniers Amelia Earhart en Hanna Reitsch, en neemt, een beetje à la Jacob ter Veldhuis, televisiefragmenten als uitgangspunt voor haar compositie…”

James Poke presents this month’s Radio Icebreaker with a selection of new Dutch music, including a mandolin concerto from Martijn Padding’s new CD, two live performances from Louis Andriessen’s 70th birthday concert in Amsterdam, of music by Diderik Wagenaar and Andriessen himself, plus recent works by Yannis Kyriakides, Peter Adriaansz, Andrew Poppy and David Dramm. ELECTRA performs David Dramm’s Baton Rouge Massacre.
